BOSTON Chapter Meeting: The Hub of Sales Acceleration

Where: Embassy Suites, Waltham, MA

When: February 5th, 2015 @ 8:00am EST

Sales acceleration tools are proliferating - so much so that sales leaders are overwhelmed. What works with what? What technology is a must-have?

In a non-selling environment, we will be talking about sales acceleration tools by category and will highlight local technologies from Massachusetts and the New England area.

Peter Ostrow, VP/Group Director, Customer Management and Principal Analyst, Sales Effectiveness at the Aberdeen Group, a leading provider of fact-based research focused on the global technology-driven value chain will speak to the pitfalls of bringing on new technologies without a plan, and will offer best practices on how sales teams are utilizing technology which actually helps grow revenues.

Bring your toughest questions. Local technology companies' execs will be on hand to show how their technology works and we will bring an unbiased approach to helping sales leaders walk away with knowledge to help them improve their team, their process, and their results.

We want to thank Avention as lead sponsor of this event, as well as InsideSales.com and MobilePaks for their sponsorship.

Our event includes a continental breakfast. Space is limited, so sign up today. If we get to full capacity we will ask that only two from any one company attend.

AA-ISP Tidewater Chapter Meeting

Where: Model N Norfolk Headquarters: 1901 Ocean View Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23503

When: February 10th, 2015 @ 6:00pm EST

Beyond Networking: Turning Contacts Into Cash

Many salespeople think that asking one question constitutes a “referral”. Often the phrase, “Who do you know that might need my service/product?” is taught by sales managers as the way to more business. While occasionally you may leave a client’s office with a name to call, often all you have accomplished is to get a name in order to make another cold call. Isn’t there more to “networking” and “referrals”?

No matter your profession, strong relationships are necessary if you are to reach the top of your field. Whether it is a mentor at work, a customer, a coworker, a neighbor, or a business adviser, many people will have an impact on your success. You might need to make the next sale to hit your quota, or you may just be worried in today’s economy about the security of your job. Everyone should constantly work to build and maintain professional and social networks.

In this program, we will examine why building relationships is important, and how it can impact your career. With special emphasis given to the long term benefit to sales professionals, we will discuss the basic steps of building and maintaining a powerful circle of influence. You can expect to leave this presentation with new skills that you will be able to put to work immediately.

Join the AA-ISP Tidewater Chapter as it kicks off 2015 with guest speaker, Mike Short. Mike Short is the founder of PRO, the Professionals Referral Organization. Since 2006, PRO has been Virginia’s Premier Strategic Partnership Community. Started in Richmond with a single PRO Team of professionals from a variety of industries, PRO now has hundreds of members in chapters throughout Virginia and is excited to announce their expansion to Hampton Roads in early 2015.

AA-ISP NY-NJ-CT Chapter Meeting

Where: IBM, 590 Madison Avenue, New York, NY - Room TBD

When: March 12th, 2015 @ 5:00pm EST

Life’s a pitch and then they buy

Transformational marketing legend Don Peppers coined the term in his book Life’s a pitch – then you buy (Doubleday, 1995) used as the intro to this email. You’ve worked hard to turn suspects and prospects to qualified leads and are preparing for the big demo that you hope will close the deal.

All the time and capital you’ve invested up to this point has led up to the moment of truth… will you or will you not make the sale. But how can you be certain that the demo you’ve created will be understood and remembered and most importantly, get the lead you’ve nurtured to buy?
A legend in her own right, Anne Miller, consultant, coach and author of The Tall Lady with the Iceberg, will present ideas you can use to create killer demos that appeal to both left and right brainers. Demos that tell, show and involve. Demos that are consistently on the money and make all your investments pay off.

This is a unique opportunity to learn from one of the very best so be sure to mark your calendar now and do join us on March 12th for our first meeting of the year. More information to follow.

SPEAKER PIC & BIO FOR POSTING– Anne Miller

Internationally respected author, speaker and seminar leader, Anne Miller teaches sales people how to increase their business; coaches CEOs and senior management to communicate clearly, creatively and persuasively to key constituencies; and enables technical and demo pros to transform complex information into simpler, meaningful messages that persuade.
